The Beaver is the definitive bush plane, full stop. Designed in 1947 to survive the Canadian wilderness, it hauls a literal half-ton into lakes and gravel strips on a bellowing radial engine. Nearly eighty years later, no one has built anything that truly replaces it.

Production ended in 1967, yet rebuilt Beavers routinely sell for many times their original price — demand never went away.
