The Otter
“The big single that made bush flying possible.”

NO PHOTO
De Havilland Canada's answer to "what if a Beaver could carry more?" Single Pratt & Whitney radial up front, ten passengers in back, floats or skis or tundra tires underneath. Built from 1951 to 1967, still flying every day in Alaska, the Yukon, and the Canadian outback.
Fun fact
Many surviving Otters have been converted to turbine power as "Texas Turbines" or "Vazar Turbines" — keeping the platform relevant 70 years after first flight.
One might be overhead right now.
