Beechcraft U-21 Ute
The Ute
“The military King Air that nobody outside Fort Rucker has heard of.”
Beechcraft · military
NO PHOTO
A militarized King Air 90 used by the Army for VIP transport, light cargo, and pilot training since 1967. Same airframe as the civilian King Air, but painted olive drab and flown in formation. Still in service after fifty-plus years.
Fun fact
The U-21 is one of the longest-serving aircraft in the U.S. Army — older than the Black Hawk it sometimes shares the ramp with.
One might be overhead right now.
