The Hiller UH-12 was there at the dawn of practical helicopters — flying medevac in Korea, spraying crops, stringing power lines, and training a huge share of early helicopter pilots. Stanley Hiller designed it in his twenties, and its rock-simple rotor system kept it working for decades.
