The story
Cessna launched the CJ4 at the 2006 NBAA convention, flew it from McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita in May 2008 and began deliveries in 2010. It is the longest CitationJet, with a cabin 21 inches longer than the CJ3's, Williams FJ44-4A engines and a moderately swept wing taken from the larger Citation Sovereign. It can be flown by a single pilot and reaches about 2,165 nmi. Cessna delivered its 400th in April 2023.
Every CitationJet before it, from the original CJ through the CJ3, flies on a straight wing. The CJ4's wing is swept 12.5 degrees.
