The story
The Dash 8-200 kept the 37-to-39-seat airframe of the original Series 100 and gave it more powerful PW123 engines rated at 2,150 shp. Deliveries began in 1995, aircraft delivered from mid-1996 carry active noise and vibration suppression and were sold as the Q200, and production ended in 2009 after 105 were built.
At 73 ft, a Dash 8-200 is only about two-thirds the length of the Q400 that carries the Dash 8 name today.
