The story
The G280 is built by Israel Aerospace Industries for Gulfstream as the successor to the G200, itself born as the IAI Galaxy. It punches above its weight: super-midsize range and comfort with the operating costs of a smaller jet. A corporate favorite.
It first flew in Tel Aviv in December 2009 under the name G250, then was renamed G280 before deliveries began in 2012.
