The story
Not the older GV-based G500: this one is the all-new GVII, first flown in 2015 and delivered from 2018. It brought Gulfstream's Symmetry flight deck, with touchscreens and active sidesticks instead of yokes, and a cabin shaped like a slightly smaller G650's. 5,300 nautical miles, Mach 0.925 top speed.
The G500's sidesticks are electronically linked: when one pilot moves theirs, the other stick moves too. It was the first civil aircraft with sticks that do this. Airbus sidesticks do not.
