The story

A six-seat aluminum kit aircraft built around the idea that bush flying shouldn't cost a million dollars. Murphy Aircraft of Chilliwack, British Columbia designed it for floats, skis, or wheels, and sells it as a quick-build kit. More than 120 had been completed by 2011.

Fun fact

Builders choose between a Russian M14P nine-cylinder radial and a Lycoming flat-six, and either way the Moose gets off the ground in roughly 600 feet.
