The story
Galeb means seagull, and the G-2 was the first jet aircraft mass-produced in Yugoslavia. It is a straight-wing trainer with a Rolls-Royce Viper, tip tanks and a long tandem canopy, built at Mostar from 1965 to 1985. A number now fly with civilian owners as some of the rarest jets on the warbird circuit.
The Galeb was built in Mostar from 1965 to 1985, and its airframe became the basis for the single-seat J-21 Jastreb attack jet.
