The story
The Yak-11 was the Yak-3 fighter's shape with a radial engine and a second seat, the aircraft that taught Soviet-bloc fighter pilots from 1947 into the 1960s. Czechoslovakia built it under licence as the C-11. Today about 120 remain airworthy, and heavily modified Yak-11s are regulars at air races.
Soviet factories built 3,859 Yak-11s, and Czechoslovakia's Let added 707 more as the C-11, including a few with tricycle landing gear.
