United Airlines
United has the most diverse route network in the US and arguably the most ambitious fleet renewal in progress. They placed the largest aircraft order in aviation history and they're not slowing down. The old Continental DNA is strong at Newark and Houston.
United's family tree gave the world its first flight attendant. On 15 May 1930, nurse Ellen Church flew as head stewardess for Boeing Air Transport, one of United's founding airlines, on a 20-hour trip from Oakland to Chicago in a Boeing 80A.
