The story
The AS365 Dauphin is a fast twin-engine medium helicopter with a Fenestron tail and wheels that tuck away in flight. More than 1,000 were built for coast guards, police forces, offshore crews and navies. The US Coast Guard's MH-65 Dolphin grew out of the same design, and the armed AS565 Panther is its military sibling.
The last new Dauphin was handed over to Spanish Customs in January 2022, nearly five decades after the first one flew.
