The story
The An-30 is an aerial survey and mapping aircraft built on the An-24, with a glazed nose for the navigator and cameras in the belly. Several air forces used it for observation flights under the Open Skies Treaty, and a few still fly.
Its fully glazed 'bug-eye' nose houses a navigator and survey cameras — it was built to photograph and map the earth from altitude.
