The story

The smaller, shorter Baron — the one Beechcraft built first, before stretching it into the 58 that became the icon. Four to six seats and twin Continentals. Production ran from 1961 to 1983 with surprisingly little change, because they got it right.

Fun fact

Beechcraft built 3,651 Baron 55s, more than any other Baron model.
