The story
Cessna's answer to the question: what if you could fly a high-performance single up to 23,000 feet without an oxygen mask? The pressurized 210 made it possible — turbocharged, retractable, and capable of cruising above most of the weather light aircraft hate.
Mooney got there first: its pressurized M22 Mustang was certified in 1966. Cessna sold far more, though: 874 P210s against 36 Mustangs.
