The story
The Citabria is a taildragger that loves being upside down — the name is 'airbatic' spelled backwards. Generations of pilots learned stick-and-rudder flying and their first loops in one. The same code also covers its ancestor, the Aeronca Champ, built by the thousands after the war.
'Citabria' is literally 'airbatic' reversed — the manufacturer's little joke.
