The story
For six decades the C-2 Greyhound delivered people, mail and critical parts to aircraft carriers at sea, a mission known as Carrier Onboard Delivery. Built from the E-2 Hawkeye, it was the fleet's flying supply line until the CMV-22B Osprey took over and the Navy retired the last Greyhounds in July 2026.
A Greyhound could haul 10,000 pounds of cargo or 26 passengers and still land on a carrier deck, catching the arresting wire like any fighter.
