The story
The C-27J Spartan shares engines and avionics with the C-130J but fits into tighter, rougher strips. It's the tactical airlifter for missions where a full Hercules is too much airplane.
It uses the same Rolls-Royce AE2100 engines and six-blade Dowty propellers as the C-130J Super Hercules, its much bigger stablemate.
