B-24 'Diamond Lil'
One of two airworthy B-24s — the only one still touring
Tail number N24927

The story
America built 18,482 B-24 Liberators — more than any other military aircraft in its history — and today two are airworthy. Diamond Lil was the eighteenth off the line, built in 1940 before the United States was even in the war. The Commemorative Air Force still tours her, the only B-24 you can watch start all four engines and go.
Fun fact
For every B-24 flying today, more than 9,000 were built. That is the steepest survival ratio of any major warbird.
