New York to London in under 3 hours — a record that still stands
Tail number G-BOAD
Retired. This one lives in the history books now.

The story
The fastest Concorde of them all — Alpha Delta holds the record for the quickest Atlantic crossing by any airliner: New York to London in 2 hours 52 minutes, at twice the speed of sound with 100 passengers sipping champagne. She retired in 2003 and now sits aboard the Intrepid Museum in New York.
Fun fact
At Mach 2 the airframe stretched almost a foot from heat — Concorde's cabin was warmer at the back than the front.
