The story
Airbus added 11 fuselage frames to the A350-900, about 23 feet, for roughly 40 more seats, then gave it bigger engines and a six-wheel main gear to carry the weight. Qatar Airways flew it first in February 2018. With around 120 delivered it is far rarer than the -900, and you will find it on long-haul routes with Qatar, Cathay Pacific, British Airways and Virgin Atlantic.
Each Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 makes 97,000 lb of thrust. When the first A350-1000 was delivered, Airbus called it the most powerful engine ever developed for an Airbus aircraft.
