The story
The TB2 is a medium-altitude, long-endurance drone built by Baykar in Turkey. It first flew in August 2014. A three-person crew in a ground station, a pilot, a payload operator and a mission commander, flies it over a line-of-sight datalink, and it can stay up for more than 20 hours on a 100 hp piston engine driving a pusher propeller. It carries a sensor turret under the nose and small laser-guided munitions made by Roketsan. Turkey and more than 30 other countries have bought it, and it has been used in several wars, including in Ukraine.
The TB2 is modular: the wings, tail booms and V-tails detach from the fuselage, and its flight control system can taxi, take off, land and park the aircraft on its own.
