Quick answers
What is the rarest plane you can still see?
Some fly as one or two airframes: the X-59 test jet, NASA's WB-57s, the last airworthy B-29s. Others, like the B-2 or the U-2, fly in small numbers from a few bases. Each is LEGENDARY in Bogey, worth 1,000 points the first time you catch one.
How does Bogey decide what's rare?
From how many of a type exist and how often they actually fly where people can see them. A 737 is common; a 747SP, a Beluga or a U-2 is not. Some favorites are set by hand: a Chinook stays rare because it's too good to call common.
Can you see these planes on a flight map?
Only when they broadcast. Many military aircraft fly without ADS-B or switch it off, so they appear rarely, which is part of what makes them rare catches.
