The story
Milan Bristela designed the SportCruiser, better known in America as the PiperSport, before putting his own name on an aircraft. The Bristell is an all-metal, low-wing two-seater with the widest cabin in its class, a Rotax up front and handling that pilots describe as crisp without being twitchy. It sells as a light sport aircraft in the United States and as an ultralight, a kit or a fully certified B23 in Europe, which is why more than a thousand sit on the registers under a handful of model names.
The Bristell's cabin is 51 inches wide at the shoulder, eleven inches broader than a Cessna 172's, in an aircraft far lighter than the Cessna.
